Summit Packaging Systems has significantly expanded its manufacturing capacity at its European Headquarters in Almere, The Netherlands, by adding over 40 state-of-the-art injection molding machines. The machines, ranging from 50 to 650 tons, will increase production capacity and capability for new actuator projects. Including Summit’s Lotus actuator, a market-leading solution for personal care applications.

Expanded Molding Department 

Summit’s leadership team states that expanding its molding department will enable the company to keep pace with the increasing demand for its stock and custom actuator solutions, while offering short, flexible lead times.

Dedicated Actuator Assembly and Mold Repair Facilities

The expanded facility includes a new dedicated actuator assembly area.  This department operates the three high-tech production lines exclusively for the Lotus actuator family. A cutting-edge mold repair center has also been added to support operational efficiency and maintain Summit’s high-quality standards.

• Three Actuator Body Molds (Fine Mist & Powder Spray)

• Matt and Gloss Dust Cap Finishes

• Two Skirt Lengths (Compatible with different aluminum can shoulder profiles) 

• Tailored Finger Pads (To enhance shelf appeal and support brand differentiation.)

Designed with functionality in mind, the Lotus actuator ensures exceptional dust cap retention and a secure mounting cup fit. Its internal spray channel—tailored specifically for powder-based products—features a “no dead space” design that prevents product buildup and reduces clogging, making it ideal for dry hair shampoo and similar high-powder-load applications.
