Summit Europe Expands BOV Capacity in Almere, Netherlands

Summit Packaging Systems has expanded its Bag on Valve (BOV) production capacity in Almere, Netherlands, with the addition of two new high-speed assembly lines. 

BOV Capacity Increased to 300 Million Units Annually

The newly installed high-speed lines produce male bag-on-valve (BOV) containers in three formats (75ml, 200ml, and 240ml) commonly used in the personal care, cosmetics, and food industries. Our annual global BOV capacity now exceeds 300 million units, ensuring we meet the growing demand for this technology across diverse industries in the region.

Enhanced Packing Technology

Summit designed and built the high-speed lines in-house, incorporating inline bag forming and layer packing technology into the final assembly process. Packing BOVs in layers allows Summit to increase the number of parts per box, resulting in a more efficient and cost-effective packaging solution. 

This packing technology minimizes potential line disruptions, especially when BOVs are automatically tipped during the final filling process. Bag seal integrity is maintained throughout the production cycle, ensuring our BOVs are of the highest quality.
